Classic Butter Chicken

Ingredients

  • 500g boneless chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 tbsp Aaicha's Garam Masala
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1/2 cup fresh cream
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander for garnish

Instructions

  1. 1 Marinate chicken with yogurt, half of the Garam Masala, ginger-garlic paste, and salt. Let it sit for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  2. 2 Heat butter in a pan and cook the marinated chicken until done. Remove and set aside.
  3. 3 In the same pan, add more butter and sauté the remaining ginger-garlic paste.
  4. 4 Add tomato puree, red chili powder, turmeric, and cook until oil separates.
  5. 5 Add the cooked chicken, remaining Garam Masala, sugar, and salt. Mix well.
  6. 6 Add fresh cream and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  7. 7 Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with naan or rice.
