Ingredients
- 1 kg mutton, cut into pieces
- 3 tbsp Aai cha Mutton Masala
- 2 large onions, finely chopped
- 3 tomatoes, pureed
- 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves
- 2-3 green chilies, slit
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 cup fried onions
- Salt to taste
- Water as required
Instructions
- 1 Clean and wash the mutton pieces. Marinate with yogurt, half of the Mutton Masala, ginger-garlic paste, and salt. Let it rest for at least 2 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
- 2 Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- 3 Add the marinated mutton and cook on high heat for 5-7 minutes until the meat is browned.
- 4 Add tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and the remaining Mutton Masala. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes.
- 5 Add 2 cups of water, cover the pressure cooker, and cook for 6-7 whistles or until the mutton is tender.
- 6 Once the pressure releases naturally, open the cooker and check the consistency. If needed, simmer to thicken the gravy.
- 7 Garnish with fried onions, chopped coriander leaves, and green chilies.
- 8 Serve hot with naan, roti, or steamed rice.
